This photograph was taken near the sumit of Mangrt, the highest point in Slovenia. Thankfully, there's a crumbly road to it. But even the short walk with a full rucksac and a tripod is quite tough. Not surprising considering the thin air.
My Canon 5D and 135L have picked out the jaggy detail alongside the smooth misty graduations. This kind of shot really pushes the iso ability and tonal range of a DSLR. So I exposed 2 frames, 2 stops apart and blended in PS to ensure that I captured the full dynamic range. The colours and ambience are pretty much what I remember seeing.
