Description
Using my new Sigma 100-300mm mated to a Sigma 1.4x TC, I snapped this Sea gull basking in the late evening Sun. I shot wide open and the image is reasonably sharp. Thankfully it wasn't moving too fast so I could track it easily. I needed to Photoshop the brightness a bit because of the strong back lighting (hind sight is always 20-20). I think I'd liked to have stopped down a stop to sharpen the image more but then the shutter speed would have been compromised.
